Four Seasons singer Frankie Valli will provide competition for Jersey Boys, the stage show based on his group, when he plays a run of concerts on Broadway.
The pop veteran is to play seven shows at the Broadway Theatre in October, around the corner from the August Wilson Theatre, home of Jersey Boys.
The musical tells the story of Valli's group, using their hits Can't Take My Eyes Off You and Oh, What a Night.
Valli and the Four Seasons had a total of 14 US top 10 hits in the 1960s.
They were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
"I've performed around the world in every size theatre imaginable, but it has always been my dream to play Broadway," said the 78-year-old singer in a statement.
He will perform in New York from 19 - 27 October.
Jersey Boys opened in 2005 and won the Tony Award for best musical the following year. It has been seen by 13 million people around the world, raking in $1bn (£640m) in box office takings.
It was recently announced that Iron Man director Jon Favreau would helm a cinematic version of the show.
