9 May 1987	Starship	Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now	4	Only No 1	With lead singer Grace Slick, they had been around as Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship since 1967.  At 48, she was the oldest female to reach No 1.  (This was broken by Debbie Harry who, with Blondie, hit No 1 in 1999, aged 53).
